damn it, dolce & gabbana. damnitdamnit. i can't afford to buy the beautiful structured underwear you make me want to buy.

everything about this is yes. yesyes yes. yes. yes yesyesyes. yes to my childhood dream of being an elizabethan witch-princess all grown up and realized, and also a bit of a ukranian dancer too, in that hair, and yes to those earrings and all that lace. yes to the most perfectly messed and amazing and seriouslybest wedding outfit, head to toe (image 6). yes to legsforever and yes to paintings and yes to piles of models on stage. (i love, so much, that you do that. the model-mass. masses.) (i know that mostly i am working out to get strong and be fit, but also i am working out to get those legs. or. you know. the human-actually-real version of those legs. because i am not crazy... just dreamy. and in love with tap pants.)

goodness, guys! i started doing the most wonderful thing!

i started going to the extension room for ballet-themed workout classes. and they are magic. and painful. i've been three weeks in a row, and i'm completely and totally hooked. they're perfect for me. the strength and flexibility work of yoga, extension and definition like in pilates, and the musicality, gracefulness, and structure of ballet. also the studio is pretty and awesome. loooook!

please note! having the mirror there and doing moves even lightly based on ballet have really hit home for me how much i am not a dancer. it was a bit crushing, i will admit. as was the fact that i am in just terrible shape. it has been waaaayyy too long since i've done anything even remotely strength-based. and even when i was doing aerials, i did my best to ignore pretty much all the core-training. so. my middle has never been great and is especially not strong now.

it hurts a lot.

and the classes are not easy-going. oh, how i hurt.

but the teacher is bonkers-bread nice and lovely, and i love love love it. i want to do it forever and ever amen.

so anyways, today is dancer-themed cause i'm so pumped on the dancing-things. also i never did get around to writing about the insane-brilliant-beautyfest that was pina. (i still plan on doing so eventually.) so here's a little piece of pina that was maybe my favourite, but i had a lot of favourites, so it is hard to say for sure.

charm-face.

happy monday loves! go move your bodies.

let us take a moment. a still moment.

for raf simons. who is leaving jil sander. this is his final collection here. and it breaks my heart.

i have been so so in love with what he has done over the last few years (he has been with the line for 7 years...). jil sander is definitely in my top five favourite lines now. maybe even top two with alexander mcqueen... maybe. probably. and i'm so sad to see him go. many the heavy sighs.

this show is stunning. it is quiet. but it is not for a lack of things to say. rather, there is an intensity and conviction being whispered. the opening coats, being held closed by the models... oh god, how good, how sad. hand over heart. gripping... the efficient and considered changes in colour. the turn briefly to red, and then back to pale, and then to black... the placement of each line, each seam.and the flowers that are everything i could ever want flowers to be... please let my life look like this runway. please.

symmetry asymmetry! what a fantastic way to show layers. fine quiet perfect detailing (the pipping on the pink dress pocket?). those shorts and sorta-chanel jacket with those shoes are a dream. volume all right all the time. yes.

and the colours. too.
